Yeezianity, a religion which followers believe “That the one who calls himself Yeezus ia a divine being who has been sent by God to usher in a New Age of humanity.” This is NOT A GAME. The founder of Yeezianity says that to become a member one simply has to believe in a few key principles that the group calls the “5 Pillars” which are…
1. All things created must be for the good of all.
2. No human being’s right to express themselves must ever be repressed.
3. Money is unnecessary except as a means of exchange.
4. Man possess the power to create everything he wants and needs.
5. All human suffering exists to stimulate the creative powers of Man.
Of course I personally think that this is consistent with Kanye West and his erratic behavior. Anything is to be expected of him. But I personally feel that this story is a cry for something greater. This is a religion that was formed by his Fans and followers! It reminds me of a story in the bible where the people appointed a king for themselves. Beyond being utterly offended at this blasphemous behavior I have to say that I am deeply concerned for Kanye West, his mental well being, most of all his soul. This is deep! This story raises a few questions for me:
1. What has caused our society to be in a position of yearning so hard for a Leader?
2. Are people that desperate? What has happened to us that God is no longer the source?
3. Are people so desperate to believe in something or someone that they resort to believing absolutely anything?
