The body of a man was discovered nailed to a wooden cross in an abandoned stone quarry in South Korea – allegedly near a mirror so the man could watch himself suffer.

The victim, wearing a loin cloth and a crown of thorns, had his hands and feet nailed to a wooden cross and a stab wound in his side. His condition was similar to the Bible’s description of Jesus Christ’s death.

Two smaller crosses were on either side of the man, mirroring the Biblical story that Jesus was crucified alongside two thieves. Those crosses were empty, though.

The man’s SUV was parked nearby.

Neighbors told police that the man, a 58-year-old taxi driver named Kim, had hard core religious views.
