Have you ever talked to someone and knew by their tone that a ‘but’ was coming? ‘I really like your outfit, BUT…’. ‘I can loan you the money, BUT…’. Doesn’t it kinda make you want to hold off on embracing what’s BEFORE the but until you hear what’s AFTER the ‘but’? Good communication has often been affected because somebody’s ‘BUT’ was SO big that what was being said couldn’t be heard. My suggestion is to either eliminate or decrease the size of your ‘BUT’. It could mean the difference in someone really hearing your heart!

Proverbs 4:7 – Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
