Brothers, I really do hate making posts like these because it feels like I’m giving women a ‘pass’, but some truths just hurt. So here goes:
Your wife, like a rose tree, has the potential to be as beautiful, vibrant, & fulfilling as you are willing to work to make happen. Like a gardener, he understands that though the rose has thorns with ability to hurt him, it will only do so when it’s handled incorrectly. So he has to be gentle and patient. A patient gardener fertilizes, waters, pampers and is attentive to his roses. He keeps out insects and disease that come to harm the roses and that level of care and attention ALWAYS pays off. If not now, then definitely in the right season AFTER the appropriate work is put in. This was a sobering truth for me:
If my rose isn’t blooming, I can’t blame the rose. It’s just waiting on the right stimuli.
