Despite what we may say, our actions say that we respect bad and negative more than good. It’s how the 6’oclock news is typically started… bad stuff first. There is a type of sensationalism to it. Positive reality shows don’t last, but the negative ones reoccur season after season. People don’t typically go out of their way to broadcast a birth, but HAVE to be the first one to tell you about a death. Have you ever noticed how we tend to remember the negative stuff said about us much longer than the positive? We give the negative much more attention than the positive. Studies have shown that some of this is just the way we are wired, however, we CAN do our own thinking. You don’t HAVE to let the negative have immediate access to the front row of your life. It’s a choice. Simply make another choice.
