Books for Brown Boys

Did you know, statistically, African-American males have poor reading skills due in part to their inability to find characters in books that look and identify to themselves

To increase the literacy enjoyment in young male minorities between the 4th-8th grade. The Alpha Gamma Chapter of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Inc, a nonprofit 501c3 business and professional organization for Women of Color, is Hosting a “Books for Brown Boys” drive on Sunday January 28th.

This community service activity will take place at “The Learning Tree Bookstore” located at 2308 Candler Rd in Decatur from 1PM to 5PM

Looking for books written by authors of color for young boys of color. The donated books will be distributed and read by men of color during the month of February For more information regarding book donations email alphagammagphid@gmail.com
