Illinois Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. will reportedly resign from Congress.

The Democrat and son of civil rights icon Jesse Jackson was first elected in 1995. He was recently reelected despite being on medical leave from Congress as he was reportedly dealing with mental health issues. He twice sought treatment at the Mayo Clinic for bipolar disorder.
