We actually don’t see with our eyes. We see with our minds. The eyes are only tools our body uses to focus on what the mind then interprets. Sometimes what the eyes see, the mind interprets based off of memory and not the present. It’s how you can change for the better but people still handle you as the ‘old’ you. We must constantly approach life with a ‘refreshed’ mind so that what we are looking at is based more on reality than memory. Situations change all the time, but only a refreshed or renewed mind will be able to recognize it.
Romans 12:2 NIV – Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is —his good, pleasing and perfect will.
