This past Friday Night at the Cobb Energy Center, I co-hosted the red carpet for the event along with Comedian Akintunde celebrating Dr. Creflo Dollar’s 50th birthday and 30 years in ministry. This is event was nothing less than spectacular. With hosts Mark Hayes from Fox 5 Atlanta and Monica Pearson from Channel 2 Action News and surprise guests The Clark Sisters, Shirley Ceasar, and Lashun Pace Dr. Dollar was in pure amazement. He was roasted by his former college football teammates and family members. The production of the show could compete with that of any televised Image or Trumpet Award celebration I’ve ever seen. Attendees such as Evander Holyfied, Pastor Mason Betha, Pastor John Hagee and Kenneth and Gloria Copeland honored Him for his persistence in being led by the spirit of God in his ministry over the years.
I have to share with you the most embarrassing moment I’ve ever had in media…It happened here at Dr. Dollar’s birthday party. The Legendary R&B Group “The Stylistics” were booked to perform for the post show reception. No one told me that it was a surprise. So as I interviewed Dr. Dollar on the Red Carpet I asked him if he was excited about the “Stylistics” performing for his event. Dr. Taffi looked at me like,” Oh No, he didn’t know this.” I was soooooo upset that no one told me of the surprise. I ruined it for him and the planners. You could have bought me for a nickel. lol Never the less this star studded event was a blast and will never be forgotten by those who attended. Having a chance to watch video footage of conversations from his mother and sisters, we were all able to connect with Dr. Dollar personally and get to know his comedic personality and we learned of his father the late Creflo Dollar Sr.
Congratulations to you again Dr. Dollar. You are a great man of integrity, you have an incredible family, and you are loved by the nations. We look forward to celebrating future milestones with you and the World Changers family.
