The celebrated gospel singer, radio host, and author joined Erica Campbell and Griff on Get Up Mornings to talk about his newest venture, The Isaac Carree Show, which launches May 30. After years of keeping the idea on hold, Carree said it was finally time to act on the vision that had been sitting on his heart for nearly six years.

“I put it down because of doubt, fear, anxiety,” Carree shared. “I watched everybody else do podcasts and make millions, and I was sitting on mine.”

Inspired by a new approach to goal-setting, Carree divided his year into action-based segments. From January to April, he focused on launching the show—and he did. In addition to the podcast, he’s also preparing to drop new music in the coming weeks.

Carree said the podcast is an honest space for grown-up conversations. It’s shaped by his years in ministry and entertainment, but also by the limitations he says others have tried to put on him—especially in the church world.

“I’ve allowed people to shape what I can and cannot do,” he said. “But I’m 52. My mama’s gone to be with the Lord. I don’t have anything left to prove. I’m doing what God has called me to do.”

The Isaac Carree Show will feature candid conversations with artists, friends, and public figures who’ve experienced life’s highs and lows. Carree isn’t trying to shock or push buttons, but he’s not sugarcoating anything either. “I’m flirting with the line as far as I can without destroying myself,” he admitted with a laugh.

Griff praised Carree’s versatility, reminding listeners that the singer has toured with everyone from country stars to hip-hop icons. “You’re funny, dawg,” Griff added. “You’ve never been in a box.”

Carree credits his humor, honesty, and faith for keeping him grounded. But he also asked for prayer—especially as he juggles his podcast, new music, and helping his daughter prepare for her freshman year at Alabama A&M.
