On a recent episode of Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell, Naomi stopped by to introduce her newest single, “Be Glad,” a song birthed during a season of emotional transition. As her daughter prepared to head off to college, Naomi found herself reflecting on the shifts happening around her—not because life was bad, but because life was changing.
“It wasn’t even really bad things—it was just transitions,” Naomi shared. “And I had to remind myself, God has been good. You still have a reason to sing.”
“Be Glad” is based on Psalm 118:24 and serves as both a reminder and a rallying cry. “I’m trying to sing what I would like to see,” Naomi said, explaining how she uses worship as a way to shift her mindset and speak life into her circumstances.

The song was recorded live in Las Vegas, a location that holds deep personal meaning. Naomi recalled her first ministry trip as a child with her parents—former singers turned pastors—who brought her to Vegas to perform at a church. “It’s where I first saw that there were believers in places people often overlook,” she said.
That full-circle moment inspired her to host her live recording in the same city, proving that even in so-called “Sin City,” worship can thrive. “The recording was amazing. I got to capture some really beautiful music,” Naomi said, adding that her goal is always to create songs that sit in people’s hearts and remind them of God’s truth.
Reflecting on her journey from group performances to being a solo artist, Naomi admitted that while there was comfort in collaboration, stepping out on her own has brought a new kind of freedom.
