The group exists in order for the targeted groups to become productive, responsible, self-esteemed and self-sufficient individuals. IJT has reached out to those listed to be deemed “incorrigible” or to have “disabilities by the Public School System. Most notable is: 1.Education is paramount; 2.Instill respect; 3. Ensure the student becomes self-sufficient; 4.Make them aware of their history; 5.Obtain H.S. Diploma to enter into college and/or the U.S. Military.
IJT primarily reaches out to males (and females) ages 13 – 20 who have either dropped out of school have been expelled from the public school system or students on probation within the juvenile judicial system. The youth are mostly on the lower rung of the opportunity ladder of success.

Young adults are gaining a better life style through self esteem, and self empowerment. They have determined, gaining collegiate experience, they are able to hold their head high, walk taller and smarter, becoming self sufficient and tax paying adults.
IJT Development Center will continue offering High School Diplomas in order for the targeted group named above to continue with their education, become career minded, knowing they now have options.
