A Key To Deeper Relationship with God

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:19–21).
In our world today, in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, if we are not actively cutting out hindrances, we can quickly get sucked into a cycle that revolves around material things.
As Christians, we should strive to cut away anything that keeps us from pursuing Christ. Yes, God wants to bless us, but things should never take precedence over Him. So if there’s anything standing between you and a deeper relationship with Him today, cut it away. He’s worth it, and He has greater things in store for you!
