I’ve found that the conversation about fatherhood brings up some pretty deep seated emotions. Many are reluctant to discuss the topic because of the way it makes them feel. Some guys feel bad because either their father wasn’t there or they themselves haven’t been very engaging to their children. Some women feel some type of way because they may have had a child with a guy who chose not to be there & they’ve had to be mom and dad to their child while secretly struggling with their own daddy issues. Either way, it’s often not a very welcomed conversation, but a needed one nonetheless. Today, motivational speaker Jackie Brewton joins me and we talk to father’s about the power of their presence AND their absence!
