JC/PR — The young teen sensation Jekalyn Carr, has been nominated for 3 Stellar Awards for 2015. This is another great accomplishment to be added to her young vibrant career as an artist. The categories that Jekalyn Carr have been nominated for are Category #4 The Albertina Walker Award, Category #15 Traditional Female Vocal Of The Year and Category #17 and Traditional CD Of The Year.
The burgeoning success of Jekalyn is a classic example of what you can do, no matter how old you are. She received her first Stellar, at the age of sixteen and now at the age of eighteen, she is nominated again for three more awards. Jekalyn’s says “This has been a great experience and journey for me!”
Less than a month ago, she did her first live recording, which many are calling simply impeccable. There’s a lot of great expectancy from her new album entitled “The Life Project” in 2016. This new project has already intrigued many from that night, including song titles, “You’re Bigger”, “You Are My Joy”, and “You Spoke Over Me” just to name a few.
Behind the scenes is Jekalyn Carr’s father, Allen Carr, who wrote both “Greater Is Coming” and “It’s Gonna Happen” which were the lead singles from her last two albums. Carr’s father is also her manager, producer and the president of Lunjeal Music Group, which is the label home of Jekalyn Carr.
He says that it is an honor to work with his daughter and to watch her mature in her gifts and to see the accomplishments from the effort that she has put forth. “We are excited and in great anticipation for the greater things that are about to happen in her life.”
