We’re rooting for NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders to get his own show. Topic? How to be an epic, cool, and equally embarrassing dad.
Those aren’t usually adjectives that go together, but that’s the only way we can describe this Twitter conversation between Sanders and his son, Deion Sanders Jr., about doughnuts. “Hood doughnuts,” whatever those are. And Deion Jr., an obviously privileged kid, really had a hankering for them.
So Sanders had to put him in his place:
Gotta get the hood doughnuts almost every morning. If my doughnuts don’t come in a plain white box, I don’t want them!

@DeionSandersJr you’re a Huxtable with a million $ trust fund stop the hood stuff! Lololol. Son. #Truth — Deion Sanders (@DeionSanders) April 2, 2015
It gets better…
@DeionSanders lol I still love the hood’s doughnuts

@DeionSandersJr donuts in the hood? but we have a clothing line called @WellOffForever,condo living @SMU #versacesheets #Huxtable #Trustfund — Deion Sanders (@DeionSanders) April 3, 2015
And just in case we needed proof that little Deion is DEFINITELY well off, his dad retweeted this…
Shout out to my brother/barber @BPAINtheBARBER for coming to the house and cutting my hair every Thursday! pic.twitter.com/BR4rXqG0s7
— Deion Sanders Jr (@DeionSandersJr) April 3, 2015
The ultimate shade! If you think Sanders took it too far, he cleared the whole thing up and let the world know he’s just having some fun with his junior:
@ColtinNied@DeionSandersJr naw just having fun with my son like we always do. He was exposed to the best of both worlds and that’s rare!
— Deion Sanders (@DeionSanders) April 2, 2015
He may not be totally serious, but we bet Deion Jr. won’t stick his foot in his mouth with another ridiculous “hood” statement again.
What do you think of Sanders’ mini-roast? Sound off below…
