When God looks at you, it is like a sculptor looking at an unformed block of stone. He doesn’t see you as you are; He sees you as you could be – conformed to the image of his son Jesus and He is committed to bringing that image to fruition for His glory. Isn’t that encouraging?

Think of understanding as the support beams and roof of your house. Understanding comes from the revelation of the Holy Spirit as you study God’s word. The Holy Spirit instructs you on a moment by moment basis what to let into your house and what to keep out. You must watch your thinking and take captive any thoughts that are contrary to the word of God. NEVER let the enemy’s lies go unchallenged. If you fail to take your thoughts captive then they become strongholds that rule – and eventually destroy – your life.

Do you know where everything is supposed to go in your spiritual house? Or are these things just getting moved from place to place obscuring the view of the things you need and things you need to reach? Are we cluttering our spiritual shelves with garbage.
