Chris Brown is again apologizing for assaulting former girlfriend Rihanna in a new interview with ABC News’ Robin Roberts.

The sit-down, airing on “20/20” Friday, features the R&B singer watching clips of Rihanna’s own ABC interview with Diane Sawyer, which aired early last month, and in which she detailed the night of the February attack.

“I was wrong for what I did,” Brown told Roberts in a clip that aired Thursday on “Good Morning America.” “And I would definitely say it’s not something that I look past or look over. It’s something that’s really touchy. And like I said, I’m really sorry for what went down and what happened.”

Brown, 20, has already apologized on CNN’s “Larry King Live,” as well as a string of other media appearances during which he addressed the incident.

He maintains that it was the first time he was ever violent in a relationship.

“I never ever had problems with anger. No, no domestic violence with any of my past girlfriends,” Brown said. “I never was that kind of person…I look at it, and it’s really, like really difficult. It’s like, ‘How could I be that person?'”

Brown also said that though his demeanor may seem nonchalant at time, he’s “hurting inside.”

“It really is kinda devastating me,” he added.
