President Obama is the latest person to weigh in on the controversial call that ended the Monday Night Football game between the Green Bay Packers and the Seattle Seahawks.

Seattle beat Green Bay 14-12 on a disputed 24-yard touchdown pass on 4th down. Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson threw the ball into the end zone and it looked like the Packers’ M.D. Jennings intercepted the ball. While video replay cleared showed Jennings with possession of the ball, Seattle’s Golden Tate wrestled the ball away while in the pile of players.

One official signalled touchdown at the same time another official indicated Green Bay had the ball. The NFL is currently in a contract dispute with its regular referees and has been using replacement refs this season, some of whom came from the Lingerie Football League.

President Obama joined a chorus of folks who are calling on the NFL to end the dispute and bring back the professional refs:
