Actress Yvette Wilson, better known as Andell Wilkerson on the ’90s show Moesha, has died after a long battle with cervical cancer. It was only last month that we reported on Yvette’s condition and that she was seeking donations to assist in her fight against the life-threatening disease.

Yvette had stage 4 cancer and was in need of a kidney transplant. She was 48.

Wilson will be remembered for her scene stealing roles in the films Friday and Poetic Justice along with her work on television sitcoms like Moesha, The Parkers, Thea, and Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam.

Our condolences go out to her family and friends. Rest In Peace, Yvette Wilson!
