Michael Jai White & Lynn Whitfield began production this week on their new GMC movie. GMC has been at the front of creating inspiring movies for a year.
This is just one more step in positive programming!
Production began this week in Wilmington, NC on GMC’s World Premiere Original feature film Somebody’s Child, starring NAACP Image Award© nominee Michael Jai White (Why Did I Get Married Too, We The Party,), Emmy© and NAACP Image Award© winner Lynn Whitfield (The Josephine Baker Story, Eve’s Bayou), Nadine Ellis (“Let’s Stay Together””), Clifton Powell (Ray, “For Richer or Poorer”) and Byron Minns (Undisputed). Based on the award-winning screenplay by Siddeeqah Powell, Somebody’s Child is directed by Gary Wheeler (“Heart of Christmas”, “The Trial”) and will make its world television premiere on GMC TV in August 2012.
