A SWAT team had to be called in Wednesday night to quell a riot that broke out at the DeKalb Regional Youth Detention Center, reports the AJC. com.

The county police SWAT team showed up at the south DeKalb facility, located on Clifton Springs Road, at around 10:15 pm and was inside for about 45 minutes before restoring order.

Five staff members and an unknown number of youth sustained minor injuries during the melee, which was contained to one unit.

The reasons for the disturbance are unknown.
