There are so many people who are fearful of what is to come of our country under the leadership of our new President-elect. There is reason to be concerned but there is also reason to rest. Sure, it’s easier said than done. But, if you are a follower of Christ, a Christian, then God has already reassured us that He is in full control and we are to just trust Him. We see it in Scripture.
John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
Oh, there are many more. I encourage you to spend time in His Word and allow it to speak to your heart, encourage you, comfort you, and strengthen you. Also, pray always about ALL things. God is All-Powerful, All-Knowing, and in Full Control. We are to walk by faith and not by sight, knowing He will work all things out. Things may not happen the way we always want or expect but He works it all out for His glory and our good. He can’t fail! Share Him with others so they can have the same assurance.
