“Meditation is pondering the Word in our hearts, preaching it to our own souls, and personally applying it to our own lives and circumstances. It is how we sanctify our thinking and bring it into submission to Christ—taking every thought captive.” Ken Puls of Founders Ministries

With all that we have going on around us and in our personal lives, we have to be mindful of our thoughts.  If we are not careful, our thoughts can have us in a bad place.  Meditating on the Word of God is necessary.  God’s Word tells us that we are to meditate on His Word day and night.  God tells Joshua to meditate on His law day and night and not to let it depart from him.  The Word also tells us that we are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.  We do that with the Word.  The Word of God ministers to us, encourages us, heals us, reassures us, and strengthens us.  So, let’s get the Word of God in our hearts so that we can pull from it’s power and make our negative thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ.  Our focus is to be more on Him because He is the only one that can change our situation and our world.  Meditate and pray; there is power in it!
