Five of the creative forces behind your favorite recording artists step to the forefront to bring you KlarKent. Isaac “Ike Nice” Carree, LaShawn “Big Shiz” Daniels, Eric “E Dubb” Dawkins, “Thee” Gerald Haddon, Adonis “The Phenom” Shropshire form the supergroup and their collective discography includes the biggest names in music-Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, R. Kelly, Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, Brandy, Usher, Mary Mary, Tank, Ciara, and many, many more.
In short? This is not a drill.
Half inspirational, half street, wholly new and refreshing, this is not a sound you’ve heard before. Individual members bring their respective combination of anointing and style to the collaboration: Isaac, a distinct blend of charisma and personality; LaShawn, a unique amalgamation of edge, wit, and straightforwardness; Eric, a grounding presence, brings his specific brand of balance and quiet strength to the mix; Gerald, a rare fusion of heat, effervescence and presence; Adonis, a true showman, contributes an electricity and magnetism all his own. All of these elements are skillfully woven through their sound and stage presentation. KlarKent bridges the gap between hood and holiness.
The collective’s name embodies the duality of Superman’s alter-ego, KlarKent …with bite of course, evidenced by the revamped spelling. Each a proven “superman” in their own right, the group has chosen to humble themselves before the throne of grace out of reverence and deference to Jesus Christ. KlarKent endeavors to present God to the masses as the standard of what is cool and relevant, extending the belief that God be the foremost influence in life. They accomplish this with ease-the fun they have with their music and the conviction in truth they share is palpable. Additionally, the five-some seek to honor God through showcasing their multitude of musical gifts from on high and inspiring the generation to follow, just as they were inspired by those that preceded them.
