Learn to accept praise. Sometimes we are so afraid that compliments could have a negative effect on our humility that we inadvertently reject the positive affects as well. If God admonishes us to encourage each other, then He also commands that we accept encouragement as well. Allow people to love on you with their praise. Resist the urge to ‘judge’ their praise. Just accept it. God knows you need it.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 says, Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing
