Games are won in the 4th quarter. It doesn’t matter how much strength you have in the 1st if you don’t make it to the 4th. Starters don’t have true success. Finishers do, Condition your mind to finish. Don’t allow yourself to feel like you’ve lost because you see someone celebrating a 1st quarter victory. The fastest, strongest, wisest, most talented person can never win YOUR race. Condition your mind to make it to the 4th quarter. The trophy there has your name on it and not another’s. You just have to get there.
Ecclesiastes 9:11 – I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time.
