Miami Police Union Condemns Woman For Videotaping Violent Arrest
Shenitria Blocker was fulfilling what she felt was her duty in using her smartphone to capture an arrest in Miami during which a black man was punched in the face by a police officer. The police then assaulted her in an attempt to grab her phone and intimidate her into deleting the footage. Blocker later posted the footage on a friend’s Facebook account, inciting a police investigation and a response from a Miami Police Union accusing her friend of posing with men posing with guns and feeding into negative views against law enforcement on social media.
