This past week has been nothing short of amazing for ballet dancer Misty Copeland. She recently made history as the first African-American woman to become a principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre and now, the Kansas City-bred ballerina will dance on Broadway. Copeland will join the revival of the classic play On the Town, playing the role of Miss Turnstiles; one of the main character’s love interests. The role will require Copeland to showcase both her dancing and acting chops. “I don’t know if I know what I’m in for. It’s going to be a huge challenge for me. It’s quite a departure from what I’m used to. But I love a challenge and I think it’s going to help me grow as an artist,” said Copeland. She is slated to make her Broadway debut on August 25. Read more.

My friend’s not a gorilla,” he tweeted. “What kind of sample image data you collected that would result in this son?” Google immediately issued an apology. “We’re appalled and genuinely sorry that this happened,” said Google spokeswoman Katie Watson. “We are taking immediate action to prevent this type of result from appearing.” Read more.
