Snoop Dogg (aka Calvin Broadus) and his son have decided to keep it West Siiiiiiide all the way.

Snoop’s second born, Cordell Broadus, committed today—national signing day—to play college football at UCLA, declining offers from top programs including Notre Dame, ASU and even Snoop’s favorite USC, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

In an interesting side note, young Broadus will join defensive back Justin Combs, son of Sean Diddy Combs, in the Bruin’s locker room this upcoming season.

Snoop took to social media to fete his boy posting photos on Instagram of the 20-year-old holding up a UCLA jersey. Snoop also crowed on Twitter: “My son first one in the family to go to college proud moment for the broadus family !” he wrote. “Ucla goooooooo Bruins ! #21 tune in.”

Snoop and Cordell are the stars of ESPN mini-series,  Snoop & Son: A Dad’s Dream, which followed Cordell’s journey to this decision with UCLA. The show will have its finale on Feb. 11.

It is widely known that Snoop had always been loyal to UCLA rival USC, but hey, blood is thicker than cardinal and gold, right?
