Tasha Smith is very open about her Christian faith. She knows the Bible like the back of her hand, but that wasn’t always the case. During a recent interview on “The D.L. Hughley Show,” the actress revealed she was once an atheist.
“[Growing up in Camden] is why I said I was an Atheist. ‘Cuz I said, ‘Jesus, is he really real?’” she joked.
On a more serious note, the “For Better or Worse” star said she was confused as a young girl because of so much tragedy in her life. “Sometimes when you’re going through stuff, the last person you’re thinking exists is God,” she explained. “I mean, it was my confusion, the anger that was in my heart, all that drama.”
The beauty, who is working on baby number two with her hubby Keith Douglas, added that the tradition from Atheism to Christianity is the best thing she’s ever done. “Thank God I know God now, okay!” she concluded with a laugh.
