After buying a $1,000 Movado watch for his mother on June 8, Brown alleges in a lawsuit filed in the state Supreme Court in Manhattan that he was illegally searched by detectives. He was told that his identification was false and that he couldn’t afford to make such an expensive purchase. Brown was then “paraded while handcuffed” and detained in a Macy’s holding cell, forced to miss his mother’s graduation.

“You can’t let injustice roll like that,” the Amherst College grad told The Post.

“I’ll never get that time back. My mother was walking across the stage looking for me.”

He was released an hour later without charge.

Macy’s released a statement saying that they are currently investigating.
