The saga of fugitive cop killer Christopher Dorner may have come to a fiery end.

After barricading himself in a cabin in Big Bear Lake, California, in the San Bernardino Mountains, Dorner was cornered by police and exchanged gunfire with authorities, killine one deputy and injuring another.

Shortly after the shootout, smoke was seen rising from the cabin before the cabin became totally engulfed in flames. A single gunshot was reportedly heard from within the cabin. California authorities believe there is a body inside the cabin that they suspect is Dorner.

Officials are reportedly waiting for the fire to burn out before approaching the cabin to search for a body.
