Thousands of citizens in Fulton County search for employment every day. Many have been looking for months, if not years, for steady work at wages that will help them to obtain and maintain food, clothing, shelter and other necessities. On Friday, September 21, 2012, the Fulton County Housing and Human Services, Office of Workforce Development will host a Tweet Chat, from noon to 1 p.m. to answer questions that may help residents with that all-important employment search.

Young people and adults can tweet in their questions about issues such as preparing a compelling resume, preparing for the interview, obtaining training and job skills upgrades, dressing for success and other issues surrounding employment searches.

Fulton County Workforce Development Youth Job Development Specialist Jason Lane will be ready to answer Tweets from youth and adults who want to know the steps required to improve significantly their chances of landing valuable part-time or full time employment. Lane expects to be joined in the Chat by a Workforce client, who recently obtained employment. To participate, residents can tweet questions to @FultonInfo and use the hash tag #FultonJobFair.

The Tweet Chat happens just before an upcoming Job fair at the Adamsville Workforce Development Center. The Adamsville Workforce Development Job Fair will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Employers who expect to hire within the next 60 days are being solicited to participate. The Adamsville Workforce Center is located inside the recently opened Adamsville Regional Health Center located at 3700 Martin Luther King Jr., Drive, SW in Atlanta.

Fulton County Workforce Development Offices located in north, south and central Fulton can provide services that include career advisement, weekly job readiness workshops, training and skill upgrades and other services that assist citizens in their search for work.
