When your kids are out of your sight–school, camp, daycare, you leave them with assurance that they will be okay. WELL, that is not the case this time! A middle school student loses his eye-sight in a bullying incident and he is blaming the entire school system.
Kardin Ulysse, age 14, is suing the New York School System for $16 million, stating that “It failed to supervise the youths who beat him.” He was attacked in the cafeteria by a group of boys at a Brooklyn high school, resulting in the loss of his eyesight. He cannot see anything from his right eye!
Two of the attackers have been arrested, and Ulysse has undergone numerous unsuccessful surgeries to restore the sight in his right eye….Who is at fault, and who is protecting our children when we are away?
