According to the U.S. Census Bureau, more than 70 percent of black children grow up in homes without their fathers. And Bishop T.D. Jakes, pastor of The Potter’s House in Dallas, will discuss this crisis at length during a special Christmas Day edition of Washington Watch with Roland Martin set to air on TV One.

According to RolandMartinReports.com, the special show, hosted by TV One political editor and CNN analyst, Roland Martin, will focus on “several Black men and women who share poignant stories on how this crisis affected them directly. Grown children, left fatherless at an early age, talk about the pain of rejection. Single mothers talk about their struggles in trying to teach their sons how to be men. And, Martin and Jakes hear inspiring stories from people who came to the aid of children and stood in for absent fathers.”
