Bounce TV, a new African American free broadcast television channel, has just launched.
The Atlanta-based Bounce TV will feature African American television programs and movies and is backed by civil rights legend and former Atlanta Mayor, Andrew Young, Martin Luther King’s son, Martin Luther King III as well as TV executives, Ryan Glover and Jonathan Katz and filmmakers Rob Hardy and Will Packer.
Bounce TV will feature sporting events, faith based programming and has licensing deals with Black movie distributors, Codeblack Entertainment and Image Entertainment as well as other movie distributors and has a catalog of over 400 Black movies many of which have been overlooked by over the test of time.
According to Will Packer, the channel will be available to over half the country through traditional non-cable broadcast networks and can be seen in San Francisco, Las Vegas, Houston, Kansas City and Atlanta.
