People living in Atlanta and other people got their first real chance to complain face-to face with the people running Atlanta’s new parking enforcement program.

The city set up a meeting with PARKatlanta after months of public outcry and anger by drivers. People have been frustrated over PARKatlanta’s aggressive enforcement.

Since PARKatlanta took over, the number of parking meters in Atlanta have tripled and people complain that PARKatlanta is taking advantage of drivers, but it could cost the city $5 million dollars to cut its contract so they are trying to mend relationships between PARKatlanta and drivers.

There will be two more meetings to give you a chance to speak your mind.

The next meeting is Saturday, Nov. 6 at 11:00 a.m. at the Adamsville Recreation Center Auditorium located at 3201 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW in Atlanta.

The final meeting is Monday, Nov. 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Atlanta Civic Center.
