“Trust,” which samples Kim McFarland‘s “In My Name” single, is a song about how to maintain peace through casting our cares on God. It’s one of six original songs written by Betton on Honestly. The two other tracks on the project are covers.
“With the way the world is going, it can be hard to find a reason to place any confidence in humanity,” she says. “My hope is that “Trust” will give voice to what people are feeling, but also serve as a reminder that God is in control in spite of the facts, and what we see.”
