Pastor Jamal Bryant talked with Erica Campbell and GRIFF about the stalking charges against him that were just thrown out by a judge. He speaks on some of the other times he has been viewed unfavorably in the media, like when it became public knowledge that he was dating R&B singer Tweet. He talks about the judgement he receives from people, particularly in the church, and why it ultimately doesn’t matter.

Still, Jamal Bryant talks about the double standard pastors are held to, who are often held to impossible standards, while public figures in other fields- like the NFL, for example -are known domestic abusers or people struggling with addiction. He explains that his duty is to live a life of integrity, which requires owning up to the mistakes he makes when he makes them. Plus, he explains why he can’t be particularly responsible for the opinions of those who claim that the pastor’s material possessions or questionable headlines keep them out of church.
