I have often had to remind myself of this fact: Trust the Provider, not the provision. I have been blessed to be able to have enjoyed some lucrative opportunities and sometimes those opportunities left without warning. It’s very easy to feel disheartened when resources you grew to depend on become no longer available. I really believe that this is how God causes our faith to grow. How many times have we been so enamored by the gifts that we took our eyes off of the Giver and couldn’t see that He was signaling us to move in another direction of opportunity? Sometimes God closes windows to force us in the direction of the open door. God is the ultimate Provider and He will never cease to be. Provisions take different forms and they come and go. Trust our stable Provider when your current provisions look unstable.

Matthew 6:31-32 – Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.
