Loyalty is one of the primary building blocks of a solid relationship. However, loyalty must be infused with truth and we must be truthful about who we have pledged our loyalty to. Have you committed your loyalty to someone whose season has expired in your life? If so, then you realize that they’ve become more of a burden than a help. I love and am loyal my sandals in the summer. Wouldn’t go anywhere without them, but they are useless to me in the winter. Some things are excellent in one season but excess baggage in another. Everything and everyone in your life has a season. Be honest with yourself and them about how your seasons are changing. It doesn’t mean you have to abandon them, but it does allow room for adjustments. Truthful loyalty demands it.

Ecclesiastes 3:3 – For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
