Most of our disappointments in life have come from unrealistic or unfair expectations. You’re not being negative by calling a spade a spade. People are who they are. Despite how much I would like a $1 bill to be a $20 bill, it can only give me what it has the capacity to give. The $1 bill is not wrong, I am the one who needs to adjust my expectations of it. Many times we make people and situations wrong when they don’t meet our needs when in fact it’s WE who just picked people who were incapable to do so. John 7:24
