Trumpeter/singer/songwriter Sam Trump has an empowering and uplifting message for Black men in his new visual “Brother” with the help from rapper Add-2.

Filmed on the south side of Chicago, “Brother” paints messages of brotherhood, unity and love through profound lyrics and a colorful exhibition of dance, art and celebration.

“They accused my brother, and blatantly refused my brother…can’t afford to lose my own brother…” – Sam Trump

“Brother” has went viral reaching over 581k people in just 2 days on Facebook alone and has been covered on Singersroom.com, DCRhythmNation.com and 2DopeBoyz.com to name a few.

Trump says the popularity has been overwhelming but is glad that it’s making a positive impact promoting black unity:

“I want viewers to witness black joy. I want smiles. I want hope, not for a better tomorrow, but for a better today. I want to capture the essence of black community and camaraderie and coexistence, in a world where its not publicized enough. I want to challenge other artists to seek ways to use their own platforms to positively affect the world, and to inspires others to do the same.

I want my brothers and sisters to see this visual and be able to relate to the sentiment of storge love, and use this  love to lean on each other as an act of reverence to our own community, with the understanding that it’s OUR responsibility to build up each other. Our opposition has the intent of that on the contrary, and we can’t expect love from them. However, when the black community is in a time where widespread storge love comes natural, it will recreate the time in which our great ancestors lived…before all of this oppression began. When the way in which we even coexisted as a community was culture, creativity, and artistry at its finest.

But history repeats right? There’s hope right there!”

Directed by Cam Be, and produced by Calvin Valentine, this song leaves you feeling hopeful and proud to be apart of black excellence.
