A Bishop in Shreveport, Louisiana has announced he will seal himself in a coffin for three days and resurrect on Easter Sunday has caused quite a stir in the local community.
Bishop Rickey Moore with Sunrise Baptist Church, says this is apart of the church’s four-part Easter program that will include the trial of Jesus, His betrayal, His crucifixion, and His entombment.
Critics have responded on social media say he is “going to the extreme” but that’s the exact goal Bishop Moore is trying to accomplish.
He tells Shreveport’s local news KSLA:
“It is our aim to get people to come here and when they come here we want to witness to them…If it takes people talking about me and criticizing me for trying to remind them of what Jesus did, I don’t mind wearing my crown.”
