ATLANTA, September 16, 2015 —- On Saturday October 10, 2015, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office will host its 6th Annual Youth Conference entitled H.Y.P.E.( Helping Youth Prosper and Evolve) 2015. The event will be held at Atlanta Metropolitan State College, 1630 Metropolitan Parkway, Atlanta, Georgia 30309 from 8:30 am until 3:00 pm, registration will begin at 7:30am.
Keynote Speaker: Attorney Michael Thurmond
The event is designed to encourage youth between the ages of 11-17 in becoming more productive students by providing them with age appropriate information to help them make sound decisions as they navigate through the tough years of middle and high school. There will be free breakfast and lunch served.
The conference workshops are:
- Judicial
- Law enforcement and youth interaction
- Gangs
- Social Etiquette
- Parent’s Forum (Parent and Community Involvement)
- Open Forum entitled “Breaking the Cycle)
