Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Sapp began singing in church at the age of 4. In 1991, Fred Hammond handpicked him to join his renowned urban contemporary gospel group Commissioned. Marvin began his solo-career in 1996 & has since become a household name in Gospel Music.
This summer, Marvin Sapp will release You Shall Live under the RCA Inspiration label. The empowering track “Yes You Can” is also the lead single for the album, which will be released June 2nd 2015.
