Misty Copeland may be getting her very own biopic soon …and it’s not going to be on Lifetime!

New Line Cinema is interested in bringing Misty’s life to the big screen, Deadline.com reports. The production company has optioned her story for a film that will be adapted from her memoir, “Life In Motion: An Unlikely Ballerina.”

The American Ballet Theatre soloist had become an inspiration to millions as she fought to live her dream of becoming a professional dancer, despite the odds stacked against her.

Misty began taking lessons at the age of 13 while living in a hotel with mother and siblings. She was such a natural talent that she quickly advanced to dancing en pointe just a few months after first taking classes at her local Boys & Girls Club.

Despite her raw skills, Misty faced a lot of opposition to even gain formal training–a young lady even read one of the ballerina’s rejection letters during her awe-inspiring Under Armour commercial. When she was finally accepted to an academy, Misty’s career took off!

She’s gotten to perform with Prince and for President Barack Obama, which are two incredible honors on their own! Next month, however, will make a new milestone in her career as she becomes the first black woman ever to lead ABT’s Swan Lake!

The biopic will center on Misty’s life from the age of 13 to her late teens, but, hopefully, producers won’t forget to add that achievement in her biopic, when it hits theaters. They could totally add it as an after-credits clip a la Marvel Studios!
