Comedian/ventriloquist Willie Brown is bringing his hilarious brand of clean comedy to television with the upcoming reality television comedy special “Willie Brown & Friends Gospel Comedy Live”.  The TV special will tape its first episodes during performances on Friday, September 6th and October 11th at the Comedy Clinic Studio  in Atlanta, GA. Widely known for his appearances on BET’s Comicview, HBO, Showtime Network’s “Barbershop” Series and “The Rickey Smiley Show,” Brown is one of the most sought after Christian  comedians in America.

“I really felt the need to offer Christian comedians and performers a national platform where their gifts and talents can be seen and celebrated .There is such a great need for this brand of entertainment in our society today. People go to church to get filled up with the word, but after they get home there are few TV shows that will keep you uplifted.  This show represents an entertainment alternative for families to enjoy clean and funny entertainment”.

Hosted by Brown, with his famous sidekick Woody; the cantankerous Uncle Rufus, and the “mother of all mothers of the church” Aunt Tee, the comedy special will feature an all-star lineup of nationally known comedians like Chinnitta Morris aka “Chocolate,” Marty Simpson, Victor Terrell, Vyck Cooley, Lisa Mills and Anna Douglas. The program is part of a larger movement by Brown to create more faith-based and family friendly programing.  “We are planning to have the first twenty-four hour clean comedy channel”, says Brown. “Imagine being able to come home from work and turn on the TV at any time and see gut wrenching, non-stop clean comedy that you and your kids can enjoy together”.
