Being in church makes you a saint about as much as standing in a garage makes you a car. God desires intimacy with us. Too many of us brush ourselves off and put on dressy clothes to present our ‘Sunday Best’ to God and others every week only to go back to our ‘regular’ selves the moment we undress. Intimacy with God requires consciously exposing the good you AND the the not so good you. It’s relationship, not religion. God really CAN handle your truth. Be Honest. He already knows anyway. Plus, truth will give you freedom from the bondage that ‘fronting’ currently has you under.
Psalm 51:6 – Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
